Eurovets

Eurovets is the biggest B2B dealer in UAE for pet pharmacy products and medicines. They existed in a web app created in Odoo, an open platform that was not user-friendly. Building an app extension to that web app was practically impossible for many of the development firms they approached. They came to WEFT for an optimum front-end e-commerce app without replacing their existing backend platform. The Products they sell mostly needed pre-approval for purchase. That made the process more difficult as the registered user data was stored in the Odoo-based backend system. Eurovets also wanted to move the user data to the new app.

What we delivered

The Solution

WEFT tried a new methodology; rather than building an app inside Odoo, we made another .net-based app to work as a bridge between the mobile app and Odoo. Initially, they faced irrelevant registrations with Odoo from end users who do not have the authority to buy such medicines, and the Eurovets authority hasn't got an opportunity to scrutinize such registrations. With the new software, we made user data that are trying to register to move to the newly made app, not to the Odoo backend.

While somebody is trying to register, an email will shoot to the authority so they can Approve or Deny the registration request after analysis. Once they approve, the user registration will be proceeded as normal. This change made a huge impact on unwanted registration and site traffic. Another problem detected was that the Odoo-based web app has a lot of limitations, like, implementing push app notifications; all those limitations are compensated by adding those facilities with the newly made app.

Impact

Eurovets mobile application started working as a single point of purchase and registration the data migration became easier. The mobile application was user-friendly; more customers began using the app. Their income multiplied, and the purchase and delivery system became more convenient. This project was great learning and an example of box thinking could bring magical results.
